THE IMPACT OF GREEN LOGISTICS IN ENHANCING THE PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE: AN APPLIED STUDY IN THE AL- ITTIHAD FOOD INDUSTRIES COMPANY
Abstract
In this study, Al Etihad Food Industries Company is used as a case study to investigate how green logistics techniques could improve the product life cycle. According to the research, green logistics is a comprehensive strategic framework that includes supply chain management, warehousing, packaging, and transportation techniques that are environmentally friendly. The product life cycle's introduction, growth, maturity, and decline phases are identified, as well as their strategic importance for product management. As part of a quantitative approach, SPSS was used. The methods used for data collecting and analysis were green logistics and product life cycle (r = 0.768, p < 0.01). Additionally, the cost, e-commerce, warehousing, and time/availability sub-dimensions of green logistics all show significant benefits in extending and improving product life cycles. These findings demonstrate that implementing green logistics improves supply chain performance, reduces operational costs, and maintains a competitive edge in the market—all of which boost environmental sustainability and economic efficiency. Therefore, the study provides useful information to industries looking to integrate sustainable practices to balance the goals of environmental and economic growth.
